This is a great part of Spain to be in, whether in Summer or Winter. Over 320 days of sunshine for those relaxing days, with a great range of other activities close by, such as the swimming pool, beach, diving, winter sports, water sports, horse riding, golf, walking and culture to mention but a few.

La Herradura itself is a small white village set on the coast around a horseshoe shaped bay from which it gets it's name. It is situated less than 1 hour drive from Malaga airport, 15 minutes from Nerja, 45 minutes from Granada (in our opinion Spain's best city), 30 minutes to La Alpujarra and an hour from the Sierra Nevada (winter sports and summer activities).   ... This unspoilt village and coastline provides an authentic Spanish feel in a peaceful and relaxing environment, whilst the Costa del Sol, Granada and Sierra Nevada with all of their facilities are all within easy reach.
